About Me

and Why I Embarked on a Career in Contract Work

Before the pandemic, my career options were primarily focused on banking and financial services. Transitioning to new industries posed financial challenges and often required starting from scratch. However, the rise of remote work during the pandemic created an opportunity to diversify my skill set by collaborating with different clients and companies across a variety of sectors. Working in remote and contract roles allowed me to refine my communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

Contract work enabled me to explore opportunities in product management and software development that were previously inaccessible due to the limitations of my former roles, where much of the product development was outsourced. Through these experiences, I gained comprehensive expertise in product ideation, development, strategy, and delivery. Remote work also gave me the flexibility to explore various locations, helping me decide on the best place to relocate while maintaining my career growth.

Alongside my contract work, I embraced my creativity as a published author. Writing and publishing a book taught me valuable lessons about the entire product lifecycle—from ideation to launch—which I’ve directly applied to my work as a product manager. This creative endeavor also deepened my understanding of customer-centric innovation and reinforced my ability to connect with target audiences.

I am now seeking a permanent position where I can leverage the skills and knowledge I’ve acquired over the past twelve years in product management and technology. My goal is to find a role that allows me to keep growing while being a significant asset to an organization. If you believe your company aligns with my career aspirations, I would love to connect. I am excited to find a long-term home where I can continue to make a meaningful impact.
